About Talki Kids AAC+

Talki Kids AAC+ is a communication support app designed to help children use visual communication tools, picture-based choices, scripts, typing, spelling, and related supports. The current launch version is local-first and does not require a parent account or a child account.

Parent/caregiver responsibility

Parents, caregivers, educators, and other supervising adults are responsible for setup, supervision, and deciding what app content, settings, customizations, and communication supports are appropriate for the child.

Communication support only

Talki Kids AAC+ is a communication support tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or replace professional medical, therapeutic, behavioral, educational, emergency, or legal guidance.

Local app use

The current launch version is designed for local use on the device. It does not include cloud sync, voice recording, analytics, ads, parent accounts, or child accounts.

Customization and content

Adults may customize supported app settings, visibility choices, and content for the child. The supervising adult is responsible for making sure any custom content is accurate, appropriate, and safe for the child's use and environment.

Printable materials

Printable and physical companion materials are planned and may be described as coming soon. These materials are not guaranteed by a specific date and may change before release.

App stores and updates

Talki Kids AAC+ may be distributed through app stores. App availability, downloads, updates, device compatibility, and store requirements may depend on the app store, device, operating system, and region.

No guarantees

Talki Kids AAC+ is provided as a communication support tool, but we do not guarantee a specific communication outcome, educational result, therapeutic result, behavior change, or uninterrupted app availability.

Limitation of responsibility

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Talki Kids is not responsible for decisions made by parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, or other adults based on app use, website content, customizations, or printable materials. Adults should use their own judgment and consult qualified professionals when needed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Talki Kids AAC+ changes. The updated date on this page will show when the terms were last revised.
